However, these weren't independently sold games. If so, it's entirely possible that the attendance numbers for US/Canada would have been much higher. You cannot single out the attendance for this game as any "proof" of its importance.
Manuel, with all due respect, these figures that I've seen in the media are disingenuous. Tickets were sold for both games as a doubleheader well in advance. The fact is that the Mexican supporters bought them up and didn't come to watch the US games. Instead they partied in the parking lot.
