she gets involved with z precisely because it's a terrible idea, it's a betrayal of her homeland, is the last thing a "real hero" would do in that situation. it's self destructive and it's the only thing that makes her feel real

syrah is at her most disruptive during stormblood, she's constantly being inflammatory to try and get people to deviate from their "script". a lot of her unresolved trauma pertaining to her homeland (she's dalmascan) gets dug up and she just forgets how to act

her experience with psychosis is based heavily off of my own but even so i struggle to articulate it. it's funny in her case though because it only works from a very non-meta perspective; she literally is a video game character
