I did the same but did think the synopsis suggested it could be inspired by a silly choice of penalty. Someone losing everything, their world falling apart...that name isn't chosen by mistake, surely

No, I'm not. I'm getting a bit deterred by 'sold out' gigs at Oto these days. For reasons I won't go into I need to sit so the need to queue for an hour or so is becoming too arduous. I've seen them enough times now to be comfortable with skipping it. They'll be great, of course
Thanks, here's the details. I was alerted by Mark's mailing list so maybe Vortex haven't advertised
As prescribed by Dr @jspacewoman.bsky.social ,seeing if it works on covidesque symptoms too.

London Necks fans, have you seen the Mark Wastell/Chris Abraham's gig just announced at the Vortex? Got my ticket only to find I'm already busy that night, doh!
Some of the greatest musical experiences of my life. I miss PB, those final Oto gigs were very, very special in real time let alone in hindsight.
Such flare ups are really rubbish, hope everything settles down soon.
My flare up soundtracks are usually albums I know so well that they can just wash over me, KoB, A Love Supreme, Astral Weeks or just silence
The ECM album
These are the scenes at Mercure Nottingham City Centre Hotel. Sickening use of deadly bird netting that ends up with birds trapped and starving to death. Police have been contacted.
Please sign the petition calling on the hotel to end the use of netting: protectthewild.org.uk/mercure-hote...
That's a terrific book
Brilliant, thank you. Only really know of the FIG one. Off for a snooze...
Not necessarily up for being bored but what Cooper recordings should I check out? Thanks in advance
Where's the kettle!??
I'm sure but better than the alternative I think
Lovely to hear she's getting out and about again
Beautiful album

Lovely pile. I have recently rediscovered the joys of Radio Tarifa, that one I don't know though

Don't buy from Bezos. Pay more elsewhere if needs be, that price is not sustainable for a broad publishing environment - it is indeed a "mad bargain".
The Sea Ensemble, oh yes!
Absolutely, and Warren Smith on vibes and percussion. Real Jazz chops, no instructions from Van so they just played. So the story goes.

That's Chris Abrahams from the Necks isn't it. And yet again, your local Oxfam, how come? Very envious
But the added jeopardy of the "will it collapse under me" is surely all part of the improvisational fun
Good! 75 minutes queuing shows great dedication. I've only ever managed an hour. The increasing need to queue for longer is becoming a drag at Oto I feel. Victims of their own success
Hope you're first in the queue at this time
