Kremlin says U.S. easing of Russian oil sanctions aligns with Moscow’s interests
Russia says it wants to help stabilize the global energy market - and is proposing the return of significant volumes of Russian oil to the market.
At the same time, the Kremlin warned that if instability in the energy market continues, it could lead to a crisis. The statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov, as cited by TASS .
According to Peskov, Russia’s and the United States’ interests currently coincide when it comes to stabilizing global energy markets. In particular, he pointed to what he described as “U.S. attempts to soften sanctions against Russia’s oil sector,” which he said indicates Washington is trying to stabilize energy markets.
Putin’s spokesman also said Russia is not concerned that the war in Iran could shift U.S. attention away from efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war. He highlighted what he called U.S. efforts to resolve the “crisis in Ukraine.”
In addition, Peskov said Russia is ready for a new round of trilateral talks involving Kyiv, Moscow and Washington, though he added that Moscow is now waiting for clarity on the date and venue.
At the same time, Peskov once again claimed that Europe has “not come to realize the neo-Nazi nature of the Kyiv regime,” though he added that there have long been some in the EU who “think soberly.”
On March 10, Donald Trump announced that the United States was lifting some sanctions in order to bring down oil prices.
After it emerged that the U.S. had temporarily eased sanctions on Russian seaborne oil, the market reacted immediately: Brent fell below $100 a barrel. *Focus* examined why Washington took that step, how it could affect Russia’s revenues, and what risks the new situation poses for Ukraine.
Later, however, the United States told its G7 partners that the sanctions relief for Russia would be temporary. Washington insists that allowing India to purchase Russian oil will not significantly affect Kremlin revenues.

It is rare for German chancellor Merz to so openly criticize the Trump administration. He exactly puts the finger into the wound and correctly states that we have no shortage of oil. Throwing Russian oil into the market will only fill Putin’s pockets, without denting the oil price.

This is hard to watch.
ICE and Police are still stirring up shit. Now in Vermont, they threw small women around, shot pepper balls willy-nilly, tossed flash grenades, smoke bombs, and even ran over protesters with SUVs, parking on them, and then just drove the fuck on.
