Photos of all the school children killed by a US strike in Minab, Ireland
The United States killed all these children last Saturday.
170 of them.
Every. Single. One.
Match day tomorrow, the lime & sodas are on me. π
Stopped 16 months ago, but still have the odd one. What I did learn is that I can take it or leave it, no pressure.
In Carlisle, first of all in Globe Lane, and they moved when all the old lanes were demolished for a brand new shopping centre called The Lanes. All the staff, Dave, Phil and Lorraine were brilliant.
Our local record shop, The Pink Panther, used to give me the new release list to order off. The wait was nerve wracking, the 10% discount was just what the doctor ordered. π
I think without the women that you mention, punk becomes less interesting, and just a lad thing. Would punk have the same impact without a Patti, Siouxsie, Ari, etcβ¦ I donβt think it would, as the three Iβve mentioned would be in my top ten punk bands. Great work btw. π€
We had this conversation at the Old Fruit Market π Hereβs a thing, why can someone in Glasgow use their bus pass and be able to get to Carlisle, but I canβt use mine to get from Carlisle to Glasgow?
Bandcamp Friday. π€

Itβll take them all night to find out where the Islands are. π€‘π€‘
You are younger than me Mairi, 66 for us south of the border.
How exciting, Iβve used my pensioners bus pass for the 1st time today. π
Beyond The Wall.
I was thinking Thursday tbf.
Blimey, Iβve just realised my brother supported The Woodentops on this gig in Carlisle. Fair play to him, considering the circumstances.
Possibly, Iβm sure it was a midweek gig in Carlisle.
Last saw them supporting The Stranglers in Carlisle, 2013.
Another one I saw in Carlisle back then, at Stars and Stripes, same place The Woodentops played.
Great pics, same tour I guess.
My friends put a few bands on like this. The Skeletal Family and a few others.
Friends put them on at The Front Page, Carlisle.
Not surprising, looking at the quality of our forwards. Thank god for Nygren, who although weak as a kitten, manages to be in the right place at the right time.
Maedaβs effort, surely wonβt be on that list. π€£
Thank you, sheβs struggling a bit, 89 this year. Sheβs done well considering the heart attack at 48 and not been able to work again, after that.
Saw them in Carlisle 1986. My mam had a heart attack the same day, but my dad said get yourselves out itβs what you love. They were brilliant, but I couldnβt enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Just been to see my mam in hospital again tonight, 40 years later.
1984, still too young Tracey? π
Saw them supporting The Cure at Newcastle City Hall.
