The Konstanz Linguistics Conference 2025 (KLC25) is an early-career research conference taking place at the University of Konstanz, starting tomorrow (Thur 9th Oct). The event provides a platform for early-career researchers to share their research and engage in discussions across subfields. (1/3)

๐ฌ On October 3rd, Marieke Einfeldt gave an invited talk at the T-GRA2L workshop on questions in Siena. The talk was entitled 'Prosodic cues in German rhetorical and information-seeking questions: Are they the same in perception and production?' and presents joint work with various colleagues. (6/7)

Heute startet der #Romanistiktag in Konstanz! Freue mich auf die gemeinsame Arbeit in der mehrtรคgigen Sektion "Komik am Rande - am Rande der Komik. Zur Poetik der Nebenfigur in der Komรถdie", zu der mich Kurt Hahn @uni-graz.at und Judith Frรถmmer @univie.ac.at eingeladen haben. Und auf Bodenseeblicke!

The conference will be opened by the Rector at a public opening ceremony on September 22nd at 6 pm in the Audimax. The guest speaker will be Eva Martha Eckkrammer, Rector of the University of Trier and President of the Franco-German University. (6/)
Finally, before the actual start of the conference four so-called RomLabs will take place, which aim to create a (more intensive) exchange between science, literature, culture and educational work as well as a broader public. (5/)
In addition, a Science Slam will give young academics the opportunity to present current research work in a short and concise form. (4/)
There are 21 sections on a variety of topics from the areas of cultural and literary studies, linguistics and didactics, as well as a plenary lecture in each of these areas and a panel discussion on the conferenceโs general theme. (3/)
The conference is organized by Georg Kaiser together with Anne Kraume from the Department of Literature, Art and Media Studies and an organizing team consisting of members of both departments. The overall theme is "Consistency and Change: Romance Studies and New Technologies". (2/)
