On the topic of #Sinners Hannah Beachler is to production design what Ruth Carter is to costumes. These women think down to the atoms in the level of meaning and thought they put into everything they do. A single shot of their work could be used to teach a master class, and I don't say that lightly.

Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde was nearing the end of her sermon for the inaugural prayer service on Tuesday when she took a breath and looked directly at President Trump.

I'm watching the Jerry Springer series on Netflix and it hit me...we are in the Jerry Springer phase of American history, the KKK episode. Only we don't know when the show will end. We just know a lot of people will get hurt and nothing is off limits.
The same outrage directed toward FLOTUS Obama was directed toward Colin Kaepernick for kneeling. White folks a) believe they should control black bodies, b) detest black resistance, and c) become enraged when Black folks refuse to offer obeisance. This is why they rage against wokeness et al.
