She was a major reason why so many of the “Yankees Twitter Crew” became friends by having tweet ups where she worked.
The world is dimmer today now that she’s gone. May her memory be a blessing.
I'm deeply annoyed by the @mtalirr.bsky.social refusing to refund my ticket though, bc they decided to cross-honor after I was already on the train and my ticket was activated. They penalize you if you don't activate before traveling but once you activate you're screwed on any refund. Great system!

On the one hand, showing up at 7 for a 6:45-9:45 delivery window is great because I'm not waiting around all morning. On the other hand, I am not currently living at the delivery address and waking up at 6:40 to a 5:55 "your stop is next!" text is not a great way to start my Friday morning 🫨
I just think more people should be aware that there are FIFTY ONE women competing in the short program at Junior Worlds. I am a figure skating sicko, but I am not enough of a figure skating sicko to wake up at 3:45am ET to watch 7+ hours' worth of juniors. #WorldJFigure

- bought a refrigerator
- picked out a dishwasher (it's a housewarming present so "bought" isn't technically accurate)
- bought a mattress/bedframe
- looked at paint colors (too big of a decision to make blindly)
- bought bedroom carpeting
...that's enough adulting (and spending) for 1 day.

That's awesome. My building is usually good about the immediate area but some of the businesses nearby are not, and it looked way better than normal today. And the crosswalks in my part of midtown didn't look this clear until prob a week or two after the last one.
The difference between today and the Tuesday after the last storm around both my apartment and my office is astounding. I have no idea how, but I'm incredibly impressed.
