Each day of December we unwrap a book gift, a Christmas themed book, preferably in Spanish.

In our little calendar we have a Xmas themed image that matches the image on one of the books.

That’s the book we read. It gives it some mystery while keeping it exciting and magical 💖

School library budget reality check ✅

This week I’ve had 13 books needing repair/replacement - 4 damaged but repairable, 6 damaged beyond repair, and 3 lost due to students transferring. Cost to replace all would be about $200, which is 1/4 of what I have left. In one week.

I didn’t realize so many people think that audiobooks DO NOT count as reading.

They say that audiobooks count as listening, learning, consuming…but not *reading*
