Amazing to celebrate the opening of the Charles Palmer suite with Leicestershire County Cricket Club!
Cricket brings communities together and is loved by so many people across Leicester and beyond.
Iβll continue working in Parliament to make sure the game gets the support and funding it deserves.

Wonderful supporting the new Highfields Street Foodbank!
So grateful for the volunteers and donors who make it possible.
Community support matters, but the bigger challenge is clear: tackling the root causes of poverty and inequality.
That's my priority in Parliament.

Thanks to the passion of local campaigners, Β£2 million funding has been secured.

The old two-party comfort zone is over.
Voters are done with political cowardice & moral compromise.
We are not protest candidates. We are the future of accountable, community-rooted politics.

Labour promised integrity.
But Β£730,000 now sits undeclared and Β£36,000 goes on smearing journalists.
The moral high ground came with an expiration date: the day they entered No.10
The country deserves better than recycled hypocrisy.

Radiotherapy saves lives every single day, yet too many patients face delays and outdated equipment.
We must invest, modernise and deliver for patients, including training and recruiting more consultant radiographers to meet growing demand.

Shockat Adam MP and volunteers of One Roof Leicester setting up beds and support packages for the homeless community
Text reads: Winter Night Shelter, One Roof Leicester
It was humbling to join volunteers at One Roof in setting up the Winter Shelter: offering Leicester's homeless a safe bed, a hot meal & a second chance.
Charities are stepping up. The government must step up too.
Fund prevention. Fund housing. And work to end rough sleeping for good.

They are the lifeblood of our economies, especially in Leicester.
The new Warm Homes Plan must lift everyone, not just the big boys.

Multi million pound contracts are repeatedly awarded to Serco, who are failing our judicial system with delayed prisoner transportation.
I asked the Minister plainly: why?
Their answer was to open more bus lanes. Hardly reassuring.

Khaleed Oladipo was more than a name in a headline. He was a son, a friend & a future full of promise.
His life was cruelly cut short and a family now carries unimaginable pain.

How shameful to weaponise a tragedy.
And then attack our city for the sake of headline-grabbing.
Leicesterβs true story is written every day by its people, not by fear-mongering narratives.
It is a story of culture, respect & unity with communities showing up for each other in tough times and challenges.
Like many, I am proud to call this city home, and I will always stand up for it.
In reference to a headline that reads:
"Leicester is no multicultural success - it is a strark warning to the rest of Britain" with an image of police tape after a student was tragically stabbed to death.
