Started working on chapter 8 today

Treating myself and got some sweet pulls

Just finished playing Nobody Wants to Die. It’s a very cool dystopian noire detective game with Altered Carbon vibes. It is also very pretty! Picked it up on sale and I’d say it was worth it despite being around 6 hours long.

Sometimes tense, sometimes fun 😁

Snippet text read: When he comes to this time, he feels… different. It’s like there’s something clawing at the inside of his skull, desperately fighting to escape. He shoves the feelings away, represses the remaining dregs of emotion that still linger. His head pounds horribly as he tries to blink away the fog that shrouds him. After a moment, his vision clears and the sight before him is— He staggers backwards, almost stumbling over something solid just behind his feet but something presses against his back, preventing his fall. What had just been a neat living come dining room now looks like a battlefield. The heavy mahogany table is overturned, the food that had been laid upon on it splattered across the floor. China plates are shattered into a thousand tiny pieces. Huge stains that are still dripping deep red liquid mar the walls where wine bottles have impacted them. Several chairs have been smashed to pieces, the wood splintered in a way that suggests a great deal of force was applied to them. There are gouges in the floor, deep and jagged, almost like… Claw marks? It’s nothing short of absolute carnage. His breath catches in his throat, a sudden bubble of panic overcoming him. Chloe. Where is Chloe? He scans over the room rapidly, putting the horrified expressions of everyone else to one side for now. Chloe is all that matters right now. Chloe is—

Snippet continues: The thing that presses against his back, it’s her. She’s standing beside him, an expression on her face that he doesn’t have the capacity to read fully. It’s horror and worry and fear all rolled into one and then some. Her hand is against his back— his bare back. He’s now only just noticing that his suit is shredded, bust open at the seams and torn apart like it’s been attacked by some wild animal. His skin feels sticky with liquid and his hands— They’re red, slick with blood. It wells in the lines of his palm and covers the ring on his finger. What happened here?

Rolled credits on both South of Midnight and Atomfall, both awesome games. Spoiled for gaming this year! Picked up Nobody wants to die so gonna give that a go next 🙂
