It's not so much that DST is annoying. What's annoying is having to shift the clock 2x a year. My suggestion would be to pick DST or Standard and keep it year round. It really doesn't matter which one. Either way, there's too much light in the summer and not enough in the winter. Can't fix that!

You know, I could almost agree that my senator Tim Kaine made the right choice to cave on the shutdown because he said he pressed for provisions in the bill to allow 'no more mischief' from the Republicans. But he let this mischief slide through. Did he even read the bill before he voted for it?
