I think one must perhaps explain why insurrection tribunal and judicial reform constitute any threat to the South Korea democracy before simply claiming they are. Parroting Chosun Ilbo talking points to the usual gullible crowd overseas: the same bad behaviours that led to Yoon's rise in 2020-22.
Commentary like this absolutely belittles the fact that Chosun Ilbo has been effectively a mouthpiece for insurrectionists for a year. Everything is path dependent. Chosun Ilbo wanted the optionality of insurrectionists prevailing through different means up to this point. Something to keep in mind.

내가 생각하는 산업정책: 국가의 명운을 걸고 콜 옵션에 베팅하는 무책임한 행위. 운이 좋을 경우 잘 될수 있지만 대부분의 경우 쏟아부은 돈을 잃고 막대한 기회비용만 발생시킴.
