As it’s finally on UK TV, I’m bingeing The Rehearsal Season 2. Episode 3 is the most surreal, brilliant, unhinged, hilarious episode of TV I think I’ve ever seen

Awake at dawn’s crack out of genuine nerves for what feels like the biggest Chelsea game in many, many years. Arguably bigger than the actual Champions League finals we’ve had. Getting back into the big leagues is essential for this club long term. Trying to stay positive about it all.

Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning has a very clumsy opening hour but the 2nd half is home to some of the very best stuff this series has ever had that left me with my mouth agape and on the verge of a nervous breakdown, tough going in the early doors but it’s more than worth it

Watching Rogue One as a post-Andor epilogue, willing to make the claim that while Gareth Edwards has flaws as a director, I don’t know if there’s another filmmaker working today that respects the importance of and understands how to demonstrate scale

Where do we stand on Duolingo these days? I’ve used it daily for almost 2 years, but this month I’ve fallen off the wagon, largely because I’ve been so disheartened by its move to AI. Being a languages teacher in the UK in 2025 is hard enough as it is before AI renders me completely defunct

I’ve said the exact same, best series since 14! I have a ranking of all contestants as well (judgement free zone) and I can easily see Baynton/Ramsey/Martin cracking my all time top 20 easily

3 weeks into the newest series of Taskmaster and we are already in all-timer territory, haven’t laughed this much at a TV show in so long

I remember opting to spend this day watching this twice in the cinema instead of finishing my 6000 word essay that would signal the end of my PGCE. I’ve been a teacher for nearly 10 years since that day. Time well spent.

Caught up with the latest episode of The Last Of Us, it’s a really good episode but this is the first time I’m feeling the pace is too fast. So many moments this episode (guitar, hanging bodies, flare, theatre) took *hours* to get to in the game, feels like the weight of the moments are being lost

Serious advice: start playing flushes (5 cards of the same suit), it’s the easiest hand to play that gets the most points. Then, buy any jokers that add + mult to your hand.
