something so annoying about bad mental health making everything worse. Like what do you mean a bad day means I haven't read like a full page in a few days after over a month of 5-20 pages every day.

Finally read enough of the hobbit to listen to the first Shelved By Genre episode :)
Since finishing Mistborn, fans of Sanderson keep recommending all of his other books and while I really sympathize, I fear they don't understand how time works. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't read all of that in a reasonable time frame, so like maybe eventually, but you will have to be patient
I must not discourse.
Discourse is the mind-killer.
Discourse is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face the discourse.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
There is nothing ruder than wanting to keep reading a book and having to get up and go to classes. Like! I was in the middle of something here, what the hell! I thought University was good for reading (Ignore my growing pile of ignored class readings, that's not relevant here)
Honestly, properly setting up my StoryGraph was the best thing I did for my reading, getting to see a little streak number go up is fantastic motivation. Yes, its more gamification of my life , but like its working, so I'll take it!
mr. mamdani i sincerely apologize for the mileage this image is going to get

As clichรฉ as it is, I went to bed early, slept through the night and then also woke up early. Helps especially because the rest of last week I slept like shit haha
Reading Some Strange Music Draws Me In alongside first Mistborn and now The Hobbit is such a stark contrast experience. That book is so deeply grounded in this reality in such a remarkable and descriptive way, I am really enjoying it.
Weekly Reading Wrap Up: 207 Pages over 3 books, really happy with that! I kind of doubt I will be able to keep up with this pace, but I will try my best. Also deciding how I count university reading for this tracking... #readingupdate #owl-reads
Started listening to Shelved by Genre recently and was delighted to learn that they're doing Lord of the Rings this year, a book series I've been wanting to actually read for forever! I am already behind, but I feel confident I can catch up soon and then hopefully keep pace with them :)
I am very close to done with it, and its very fun to see someone else going through it!
Once I am done I think I need to sit down and doodle some of the characters because i have a surprisingly clear image in my brain for many of them #finalempire
I've been reading Mistborn (its my best friends favourite book) and there was a bit in the middle where I really had some issue with the writing but the closer I get to the end the better it gets, I am very excited to finish this book :)
Sweet Transparency by Elise Schuenke, published on ohjoysextoy.com/sweet-transparency-elise-schuenke on January 20, 2026 Elise Schuenke draws in a manga-cartoony style with a pastel purplish-bluish color tone over a broader spectrum of colors. Lanna pauses her game and sets her controller on the coffee table, turning her girlfriend, saying "Sage... Can I ask something?" "Hm?" Sage replies, engrossed in their book. With worried eyes, Lanna asks, "Are you mad at me?" "PPfft!!" Sage spits their tea back into their mug in shock, but keeping their eyes lowered.
"When you came home, you didn't smile and your voice was so flat." Lanna hurriedly explains. "And earlier, when you sat down, you didn't say anything!" Panicked and embarrassed, Sage thinks to themself, "Boy, that DOES seem like I'm mad at her!!!" "Did I eat the last bean burrito...?" Wonders Lanna morosely. "NO, NO, you're fine, Lan!" Sage interrupts, reaching out a hand to reassuringly grip her shoulder.
Sweating with regret and anxiety, Sage continues, while still looking into their tea mug, "Lanna- Ugh, I can totally see how you saw that." "I'll always hear you out, y'know." Lanna's voice says over the view of Sage's reflection in their tea. "I know. I love that about you." Sage replies, keeping eye contact with their mug reflection. An image of Sage appears overhead, showing them with a neutral face and holding one of the smiling, blank masks in front of them while a sea of menacing yellow eyes scrutinizes them. "Being autistic, I feel like I have to be ultra expressive with my face and voice so people feel comfy around me." They narrate over a scene of them performing on a stage. The performing-Sage gesticulates dramatically while holding their smiling mask up while they are surrounded by coworkers and the general public that smile at them approvingly. "Masking, for me, is pretending I'm others' version of normal." "Wow, that sounds exhausting!" Lanna frets next to Sage on the couch. A pink banner unfurls across the bottom of the page, stating "Read the rest on Oh Joy Sex Toy.com"
After a long, hard day of masking their autistic traits at work, all Sage wants is to act natural at home. Unfortunately, their neurotypical gf takes the un-emotive version of Sage in the worst way in @troubledminnesotan.bsky.social's story of misunderstandings.

A white and pink graphic reading โYOURE NO BETTER: Official summary,โ with broken glass in the background.
Black text on a white background, reading: โBestselling author Andrew Joseph White returns with another horrific YA thriller: a profound portrait of a struggling teen trying to convince the worldโand himselfโthat heโs better than the serial killer who raised him. Morgan Slaughter, a seventeen-year-old trans boy with autism, put his serial killer father in prison years ago. Despite that, everyone thinks Morgan will grow up to be just like his dad: including his volatile mother, the documentary crew following their family, and maybe himself. Desperately, Morgan latches onto his fatherโs final victimโthe only one who was never identifiedโhoping that if he unravels the mystery, heโll finally prove heโs better than the man who hurt him. But this puts Morgan in the crosshairs of classmate Felicity Keating, who knows the truth about Morganโs childhoodโthat he wasnโt just a witness to his fatherโs brutality, he was an accomplice. And if he doesnโt let them help with his investigation? Theyโll tell everyone. Forced to confront his past, Morganโs ugly but carefully controlled world unravels. The film crew is manipulative. His motherโs temper spirals into malice, then violence. And Morgan and Felicity may be more tightly intertwined than either of them can stomachโฆ Youโre No Better is a gritty and unapologetic coming-of-age suspense about teens who grew up surrounded by cruelty and are clawing their way to adulthood the only way they know how.โ
my newest novel, YOUโRE NO BETTERโa teen thriller about messy trans kids and serial killersโhas an official summary!
this book is a rough one, and it tackles a lot of ugliness, but I love it so much and canโt wait to share it ๐

So this year I am planning to read 10 books - I read 7 last year and 3 more feels very attainable. But I am also participating in a Book Bingo and i am going to try to go for a blackout - that would be 25 books, so more than double. And if I know myself correctly I'll land somewhere in the middle :3
To set myself up for success I've decided to set myself two goals - a big one and a small one. I usually do better when my goals are big, even if I "fail" I tend to get more done this way, but it still feels disappointing every time.
Hey everyone thanks for your patients it's been a difficult week but MCP covering Glass will be out tonight. Have a final RB stream to do this evening but then I can do the last touches, export and upload

2025 my new years resolution was to read more and I did! So for 2026 I am upping my goals and adding social media into the mix, to talk about the cool stuff I am reading :) It feels like a better time than ever to get back into reading with social media getting worse and worse...
I realise I'm just a freak, but living in a multicultural city is the best thing of all time, it's just the best possible human experience and i can not understand why anyone on earth would be like "weve got to destroy this"
I am in the last 100 pages :) It's been a fun ride
Quick video to show off my Vin cosplay! I feel like you gotta see it in motion to appreciate the cloak ๐ฅฐ
