If you look at her page then you'll see she has as much to say about what is happening in London or Gorton as she does about Skem. I think you're comparing the visibility of an MP with that of a councillor, which isn't really a fair comparison to be making.

I read recently that we should all see April as the new year, we shouldn't try and do anything that causes more stress/misery/pressure in January when it is so dark and bleak.

It's madness. The stadium is amazing albeit with a small snagging list to be ironed out. It's going to take time for people to settle in and find the right place for themselves. I look at it through the eyes of my 11 year old rather than those of the grumpy old gets, and he can't believe it is ours.
