I'm surprised this guy's book hasn't received more criticism. His use of the term "unhuman" is the sort of thing you would expect to see in genocide pushing propaganda.

But what you're not acknowledging is there is something off about how he relates specific to Putin. Best example is the first term contacts with Putin without transcripts being made and no official US translator in on the call. That's real strange. He may fawn over Xi Jinping but he doesn't do that.

He's right, dragons are way cool. I've never met anyone who thought otherwise.

For those looking to do more research on these fascinating creatures, I recommend the scholarly monograph, "Dragons: The Modern Infestation" by Pamela Wharton Blanpied.

Fake Lao Tzu Quote: "Silence is a source of great strength." Why 'Silence is a source...' is a quote falsely credited to Lao Tzu, the legendary author of Tao Te Ching, and where it is really from. By Stefan Stenudd.

This too is not Lao Tzu.

New?

Trump has long prided himself on his use of "truthful exaggeration". He talks about that phrase and how important it's an important component of his pitches in one of his books, might be 'Art of the Deal'.

That's just woo,
not Lao Tzu.

I'm familiar with the first two, they're in my to-read-someday stack, but this one is new. I'll be picking it up and reading it soon. For reasons I'll pass over, it's a timely subject, but that said death is always a timely subject.

The author's novel, 'Maya' looks interesting as well.

Disagree. Shawshank was OK at best, haven't seen Green Mile, so I'll reserve judgment.

Some standouts:

A Prophet (2009) - probably the best
On the Yard
Short Eyes
Animal Factory

Starred Up is also good but not on the same level of those.

Midnight Express is another one better than Shawshank.
