You can have the best armed forces in the history of the world, but if you are an incompetent criminal without a plan, you can still lose a war, and rather quickly.

NEW: The Iranian drone strike that killed 6 U.S. troops in Kuwait at the start of the war was far more devastating than previously disclosed.
Dozens suffered traumatic brain injuries, burns, and shrapnel wounds. At least one required an amputation. More than 30 remain hospitalized. (CBS News)
Politicians are just useless.
More evidence that the motornormativity coalition is bipartisan in the U.S. Several Dems calling for a suspension of the federal gas tax which (1) is climate arson and (2) means that Trump can get away with some of the economic impacts of the Iran war.
What a strange hill to die on, since Brits love their animals more than their people, and most people will not even see the new bank notes as we all use electronic payments.
Charge them double, make Trump kneel say please and thank you. Otherwise 🇺🇸 can take a run and jump!
EXCLUSIVE: 7 months ago, Ukraine tried to sell the U.S. their battle-proven technology for downing Iranian-made drones.
The Trump administration dismissed the Ukrainians, only to reverse course last week after more-than-expected Iranian drone strikes.
“The UK's official climate adviser said the cost of meeting net zero is less than A SINGLE (my CAPS) fossil fuel price shock. £4 billion of additional spending per year to 2050 is required to stay on track for net zero, according to the Climate Change Committee.
BREAKING: As many as 150 U.S. troops have been wounded in the war with Iran, according to sources familiar—far higher than the Pentagon’s publicly disclosed figure of just 8 seriously wounded troops. The true toll of this war is already far worse than the public has been told. (Reuters)
Where was Farage’s closest aide and Reform UK Welsh leader Nathan Gill heading when he was arrested for taking bribes from Putin’s pal Medvedchuk?

The warnings are there for us all to see
Complete news black out on BBC 1 pm on Pmqs and I watch this programme every lunchtime, they usually always report on Pmqs. So how is the general public supposed to know both Tories and Reform hv done uturn on bombing Iran and joining Trump?
#pmqs NOT A SINGLE WORD on BBC 1 pm news on Pmqs and Badenoch and Farage uturn on Bombing Iran. Where is Mason? Hiding?
I think more than luck, Starmer knows the war is illegal, he isn’t going to take us into an illegal war.
The truth is for all of the bluster and fury of a fair bit of the press, politically Starmer ended up in precisely the right place. Domestically he indicated to a highly sceptical public he was firmly against. At the same time, the UK gave the US enough not to destroy relations.
Plan for bilateral loans to Ukraine, which Orban cannot veto www.politico.eu/article/euro...
Despite all its national troubles, & Westminster soap operatics Labour is doing concrete, positive things under the radar of the likes of Chris Mason et al.
Another thing, Badenoch claimed she would have had HMS Dragon sailing off immediately.
However it had just come back from another mission so everything on the ship has to be changed, organised & weapons loaded, in this case defensive weapons which takes time as it has to be done carefully.

He has always been better at foreign policy than economics etc, but I agree he seems more self assured and owning his own decisions.
#pmqs Starmer confident and sharp today on dual attack on Tories Badenoch and Reform Farage, backed by Lib Dems Ed Davey. Farage is a poor excuse for a human being, smirking when called out on his opposition to ban on hand guns resulting from Dunblane massacre.
Telling how confident Starmer now feels in owning his Iran decision. His best outing against Badenoch at PMQs in months. KB not alone in shifting her position. Many of those in the press and politics demanding war and condemning Starmer loudest have been far quieter since the inevitable chaos began.
Badenoch said if she was prime minister HMS Dragon would have left a week ago. Presumably with its doors hanging off and with no weapons onboard.
#pmqs Badenoch completely out of her depth and vile with it.
Spent all questions accusing Labour of hiking Fuel Duty which IS FROZEN until SEPTEMBER.
⚡️🇺🇦 Ukraine sent three groups of military personnel to Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia to help shoot down the "Shaheds": in exchange, we want to receive Patriot missiles, — Zelensky
Subsidising everyone’s petrol (even those who can afford it) and paying it with what? People’s council tax? While services get cut? This is madness.
Only HMS Dragon has left for Cyprus, so what is his position? More lies?
⚠️ Beth Rigby: "Keeping British people safe and secure is any government's number one priority."
❓ "But if you can't even agree a position amongst the leadership, how do you expect people to trust your national security?"

This very straight news piece buried deep within the FT never uses words like corruption or insider dealing but every detail is quietly devastating. Why is the FT virtually alone in the UK media in covering this important story?
The Pentagon calculated it was spending $1 billion a day on Trump and Netanyahu’s war. The truth? It was $3 billion…and that’s just for munitions.
Plus they’ve alarmed everyone by burning through scarce munitions in a matter of days.
