@thegamebakers.com Let's go! Just finished two of the most gruelling climbs today: The Peril and the Needle. In retrospect, the Peril isn't quite so bad if you manage your stamina well, but the Needle has parts where you simply CANNOT linger.

Oh, and also, LOW BLOW making us chug all our fluids 😭

@thegamebakers.com Just finished my #Cairn Free Solo climb past the Trog village, and holy crap was that intense. Like, my actual irl heart was pounding like it was actually me on that wall. What a game!

I love that Marco becomes a moral center in this game, with Aava (ostensibly the protag) largely existing for him to realize that sometimes living a quiet life is preferable to the pursuit of greatness at all costs. Meanwhile, Aava's commitment to dying on her own terms is beautiful in its own way.

Guys, guys guys... That ending. Omg I need to say it, because it was powerful.

I did not expect this to be a game about what we internalize as a "good death." I know Aava's gotten a lot of flak for how she went out, but I think it was the only way it could have ended for her.

Me - a teacher who regularly holds off on grading work until the last minute out of sheer laziness - *sips tea*

And it turns out my capacity to be misunderstood is pretty high these days. Inner child work is such a blessing!

One sort of internal guideline I'm learning to live by is to accept when other peoples' assumptions fall within my capacity to be misunderstood. Like if I'm saying X and someone thinks I'm saying Y, I'll not lose any sleep over it. If I clarify what I mean and they choose not to believe me, oh well!

We're all out here trying to live and relate and be our best, happiest versions of ourselves. I also think it's okay to feel things when the relating part encounters a bump in the road, or flies off a cliff into the ocean. Sitting with feelings without letting them control you is a hard-won skill.

I know I'm biased but I think you've outdone yourself with this one! Glad you're coming to love the characters as much as I do. Also, this is the first time I've seen Diana in some context other than a solo portrait or reference sketch so that's an incredible feeling!

How it started versus how it's going. Thank you, Loaf, for bringing my first sketch from How to Die and Love Again to life (pun intended)! Thanks to you, I can now see the characters fully for the first time, and it really helps me understand their personalities and motivations!
