PNW is a possibility for us. But we are first considering Hawaii and perhaps retire in 2026. Pulled out of a house we had under contract in July since something didn't feel right. Just came back from 3 weeks looking at more homes in HI. Sold a 2nd house my kids lived in at their university in July.

Congrats! We are looking to move, too! Will be looking again at homes in HI on another trip in a few weeks, but west coast is an option too. I also can WFH from anywhere and I likely will retire a year after moving.

Too much, we had 10" and would rather not have any. One of my sons are home so at least he helped clear it yesterday. My other son is at our other home near Purdue University and they missed most of it with less than an inch 60 miles NW
5k is really a low price. I was quoted about the same for just adding a closet to a large bonus room [its 14x25), 40k, to add a bathroom. Could become 5th bedroom and 2nd master suite. Not sure its worth adding before selling. Unless I do it myself.

I'm sorry to hear about poppy. Today our family lost a wonderful soul. Allie was 16 years 11 days old Golden Retriever that we adopted as a rescue. She passed peacefully at home tonight.

Didn't even see this until now. I left the chief twit platform a few years ago. Going to Bluesky for a few close friends. My main platform is IG. FB was mostly for random posts and a local school board group I'm active in and we were successful in getting the candidates elected.
