Uninvited Touch Gripping at shadows in a blackout ballroom,  every step a blindfolded treasure hunt, a choreography of tripwires and trapdoors danced through the scent of others' sweat. My fumbling fingers grope through fog while the world gropes me back,  with uninvited, wandering hands. Grasping, relentless. Pressing against me  like an eager lad who thinks “no” is just a challenge. I’m not dancing. I’m weaving through  the unsolicited caress  of society’s palms. Searching for the light switch  in a room full of strangers  who claim you’re lucky  to be noticed. I do not consent. I’m not flattered.  I’m a flayed walking bruise with a polite smile and clenched fist in my pocket.

In this afternoon workshop, Thomas will highlight specific areas of the downtown area and focus on specific photographic themes at each stop. Examples are photographing the intersection of lines, both real and shadows, at the foot of the Johnson St Bridge; taking advantage of taking photos at different levels in Bastion Square, and capturing the reflections in windows along Fisgard St in Chinatown.
