Fundraising, candidate recruitment/training/support, voter turnout, bringing together and coordinating with stakeholder organizations, building long-term organizing plans, etc.
Behind the scenes stuff that’s often overlooked/underappreciated, but makes up the core job of the Chair and the party.
The Chair is elected by state delegates. The job of the party chair is to elect Democrats, not make policy, and, as a delegate, I want to know how Chair candidates are going to support specific party functions to do that, not just make broad policy statements that every Democrat already agrees with.

Things Utah Republicans did this week:
✅ Undermine educators
✅ Attack trans people
✅ Make ballot initiatives more difficult
Things they didn’t address:
❌ Cost of housing
❌ Food tax
❌ Great Salt Lake
It’s all about political games for them, not solutions.
