Social work is a great second career, and your life experience will be an asset! I graduated with my MSW at 49. I got hired at the community mental health clinic where I did my second internship. Still at the clinic 8 years later, and still loving what I do.
You should go for it!

Yesterday my daughter had surgery to remove a cantaloupe-sized mass on her ovary. The ovary had twisted, causing horrendous pain. Surgery went well, the tumor looks benign, and she’s already home. 32 years old but still my baby. So grateful and relieved. Going to take this energy into 2026!

Same for me! My mother spoke it at home with her family when she was little. She used to sing Yes, Jesus Loves Me in Finnish when she thought her kids were too loud, haha. I’ve been trying to learn it on Duolingo—it isn’t easy and yet it sounds so familiar!

Buy local this weekend! And, if you can, buy local businesses when you do your gift shopping this throughout this holiday season.
