Someone should ask Mayor Mamdani at his press conference if he intends to direct H+H to absorb the trans youth patients from NYU Langone and other regional hospitals that illegally ended care, and if he plans to hold them accountable with NYC’s human rights ordinances.
He still has no comment.

That GWB's reputation has largely been rehabilitated since its nadir at the end of his presidency doesn't make me optimistic that Trump will be viewed much differently in 10 years. Even after a 4 year break a majority of the voting public was ready for another go.
Democrats are on the path to winning this year, but it is by default. The party has done a horrific job on politics from almost the minute Trump was defeated in 2020. So, sure, they are winning right now — but it’s because we have no other choices. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

I have to admit, I find “leftist” to be a weird term and I don’t understand why people use it. I’m not being flippant but “progressive” and “socialist” are both good available terms to use if you don’t want to be associated with liberals and/or democrats.

My platform doesn’t just include Medicare for All, but the addition of a more robust public health network. Public health is my specialty and it’s all too often overlooked. We have to invest in public health along with Medicare for all so that we can treat people today and prevent diseases tomorrow.
The Democratic party is as unpopular as it is because its own voters find the party feckless and weak.
They will not be ashamed. The Times helped Bush start the Iraq war and they have no shame about it.
I don’t know why Hollywood acts like recasting is a crime these days. Still happens (even in this show) but I feel like too often studios are reluctant to it for no good reason

I honestly hate DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE more than I hate GREEN LANTERN. Neither movie is well made but GL put in a more honest effort. D&W is constructed so cynically. I’ll take a bad movie where the filmmaker tried over a soulless and condescending cash grab any day of the week.

Look I just think those of us on the left in the anti-MAGA coalition should have more solidarity with each other and none with politicians.
