We had fun presenting to a very engaged group of Miami-Dade TRUST Counselors. Always great to connect with members of the community who share our passion in improving the health and wellness of children and adolescents.
ReACH Lab Manager, Manny Bruzos, presented his work to a captive audience at the 2025 MICAMH Conference. His work shows that acculturative differences between teens & caregivers lead to low self-control and both link negative affect to later sleep problems among teens.
📣 Check out our new article. We find that parents who have a good relationship with their kids can reduce later vaping risk via beliefs that they can prevent their teen from using e-cigarette. Yet, this was only true in families sharing acculturative attitudes. www.tandfonline.com/eprint/QWZFG...
