DONโT MISS OUTโผ๏ธTOMORROW
In less than 24 hours, we bring feminist analysis from Palestine, Sudan, Sri Lanka, and Yemen into the CSW70 NGO Forum space!
This panel unpacks the structural analysis behind everyday survival, rooting our demands for transformative feminist change in the global South.
When institutions are dismantled or weaponised by conflict, defining justice and demanding accountability often falls to women navigating these realities.
At #CSW70, our speakers theorise from the frontlines, join us!

International Womenโs Day global commitments to gender equality for women living under siege, occupation, genocide, and protracted militarisation, unfold within displacement, economic devastation, weakened justice systems, and fragmented accountability.
Join us for this critical conversation!
ยก
ยก
Today, we honour the radical agency of feminists across the global South who continue to build life, community, and alternatives where structural violence seeks to impose erasure and collapse.
Our fight is our hope!
#8M #IWD #IWD2026
As DAWN founding member and feminist economist Gita Sen reminds us: "Patriarchal norms that once seemed unchangeable have beenโand continue to beโoverturned by us, even in the most adverse circumstances."
Think how far we have come.
And yet, even in the face of mass displacement and economic devastation, women are resisting, rebuilding, and defining justice on their own terms. Women in conflict zones are not waiting for permission to exist. Within these conditions, they defend life itself and build alternatives.
When dominant narratives look at conflict, they often see only borders, geopolitics, and weapons. But a feminist political economy lens from the global South reveals a different reality: the deliberate destruction of the infrastructures of life and survival that women sustain every day.
To all women across the global South who take to the streets, organise in their communities, and continue fighting every day for our rights: together, we stand in strength and solidarity this March 8 โ๐พ๐

Across Palestine, Sudan, Sri Lanka, and Yemen, protracted conflict has dismantled civilian infrastructure and weakened justice systems.
This panel centres the gendered impacts of conflict and reflects on access to justice within these conditions.

The #CESCR questioned Australia on the rights of Pacific peoples and remedies amid #AUKUS risks. The reply? Procedural assurances and a pivot to climate change.
Australia must do more than proclaim; it must prevent, consult, and remedy.

On 17 Feb, during Australiaโs review before #CESCR, Rapporteur Dr Seree Nonthasoot raised #humanrights concerns over AUKUS, questioning nuclear risks, safeguards and remedies under the International Covenant.
Australia offered no substantive answers. The Pacific is still waiting.

Under the ICESCR, Australia has binding obligations to prevent foreseeable harms:. Yet no human rights impact assessment has been conducted & communities haven't been consulted.
Today, we're monitoring the review closely. Stay tuned
