I've been encountering some errors lately in the stand-alone Translate app. actually, a lot. pronunciation errors mostly, but also translation errors. haven't yet run into a tutoyer problem.

Lane County is the large horizontal rectangle shape taking a bite out of the purple in the mountains. the eastern part of it is in the mountains & probably should have been included in the purple. but they just go county by county.

it's been cold & windy since last night. feels more like a normal March. in fact, the first normal-seeming weather in a long time.

Johnson County & Linn County—I always remembered those 2 counties because their license plate numbers were 52 & 57. & they were right in a vertical row. I could never pick out where Des Moines was though.

Linn County—where Carol is—is the easternmost brown square in the lowest row.

I'm not sure how to interpret that map•in terms of fronts moving thru.(?) but for Oregon, the purple section is the Cascades. For you, it's a high wind watch? & all of eastern Colorado is extremel fire danger, right? I don't know what's going on.

I'm far from understanding how NFL contracts work: restructuring, cap hits, all of it—completely opaque. but a paranoid sports radio jock last night was ranting that this was the real problem all along. Ravens couldn't get the needed cooperation from Jackson & eventually had to stiff the Raiders.

Although Dan Patrick says that Maxx is now perceived as "damaged goods" & may have difficulty finding another new team—despite this, only one side of this clusterfuck comes across as behaving honorably. No matter how legal all of this was, the Ravens come across—to me—as entirely dishonorable.

The date/time for new contract signings to be in place is today, 4pm Eastern Time. & Trey Hendrickson is reportedly already signed with them—as of early this morning. Ravens have form on this stunt, having done this last minute mind change at least twice before in the last several years. —>

Pundits everywhere stress that the Ravens had every right to back out of this deal when they did—during the "legal tampering period" but before the new season begins. —>

it's surprising how many versions there are of the Bible now. There's a website that lists them & these screenshots aren't even all of them. I learned the verse in the King James Version & our minister recited it every single Sunday during the collection. He was really big on that particular verse.

found out today that the French word for strait is détroit. pronounced very differently from the city in Michigan. didn't have that word in my vocabulary before tonight.
