i actually remember being really bummed when 2DS games started going out of production, because it meant i'd be stuck with the 3DS now. i like the switch even less because i'm afraid to take it anywhere and the defects are way more obvious. i don't need a handheld console with the power of a PS3.

all my hollow metal 3DS styluses are long broken. the 2DS's is solid plastic and works like a charm, except on the 3DS screen where i played cooking mama so much that parts of it don't register touch anymore despite the screen protector. i might try to replace that, it's really worn down

i dug out my old 2-3DSes recently and i'm sure i knew this when the 3DS was curent, but it's even more obvious now how inferior a console it was. the 3DS takes a minute thirty or so to boot and then load the cartridge. the 2DS hasn't slowed down perceptibly at all despite being a much older console.
