I used to work in a pub that sold coffee. Every time someone ordered a coffee I gave them a latte, no matter what they ordered. Cappuccino? Latte in a bowl cup & chocolate. Flat White? Small latte. Latte? Latte. Must have done 1,000 lattes, no one said a word..

It's 35 years today since Gainsbourg died, which is a long time if you're young and not so long if you're not. That also means my book must be five years old which feels like last week when you get to my age. Anyway, just to say, it's still out there hanging just outside the Ethnomusicology Hot 100

Resigned my job to write a book reviewing pork pies. I was 2 months into my research when I realised that no-one's going to drive from Truro to Rugby, even if there's a baker there doing an absolutely fabulous pie. They're all just pork and jelly in pastry, really.

Something I've noticed about the film influencers I see a lot here is that they "don't want to be negative" so they only post about a film if they like it or just post a photo at a premiere with no review lol

I think it bodes really well that WB invited influencers to The Bride premiere in London but no critics and there's only one small press screening on Tuesday afternoon
