There were no birthing wards when Martin Luther was around. Women gave birth at home. And it was other women ( the original midwives ) who delivered the babies. The mortality rate for women was very high in childbirth anyway.
They don’t care about women and think they are expendable and it’s because the father of Evangelicalism thought this !

Irish people and Ireland aren’t part of the UK though. Only Northern Ireland which is a tiny part of Ireland is. Irish people get a big touchy about this. We are Irish and not British. Ireland was occupied and colonised by Britain but we fought for our independence and got it over a 100 years ago.

You are absolutely allowed to do things that give you joy without have to justify them. Your tree is beautiful. No wonder you enjoy it so much.
Also their treatment of the Mai Chai nuns is questionable ,use them as free domestic labour for the male monks and not allowing the time to attend to their more “ spiritual duties” and their efforts to halt the ordination of female monks too is an issue. There is little respect for women it seems.
Actually I do speak negatively about Buddhists. They aren’t perfect. They allow poorer boys to become temporary monks to get an education . They do not allow poorer girls to do this. Girls get to stay in poverty. Boys get an education and a chance to better themselves.
