That's what people should be harponing on. Not the fact atlus acknowledges the old games but their refusal to acknowledge old versions of those games. Same issue lies with RGG (like them delisting older games 💀)

Its actually baffling how hard they messed up. All they had to do was just touch up the combat and add qol. Instead they decided they wanted to just make a other game advertised as a yakuza 3 remake. Them removed 3 off the store is ridiculous as well

The daidoji plot has gotten too far also. At first it was interesting with the guy from y5 returning as Hanawa but now its just going too far with them retconning every death so they can be involved with this boogeyman evil agency.

Damn💀. Its such a shame because the side story for lost judgment (Kaito files) was phenomenal
(has my favorite final boss). Then again I think that was the last game Nagoshi was involved with before he departed. At the very least im still excited for stranger than heaven

Ig its the same complaint with kiwami 1 and 2 is that they dont stay similar to the source material in the slightest so it feels much more of its own thing. Like Yakuza 3's soundtrack isnt even remade in kiwami 3 and just flat out replaced

I just hope they get their stuff together because as much as I love infinite wealth the rush with it being made alongside gaiden really dampened it. I think the creative decisions with kiwami 3 is just super wacky like reducing the substories largely and cutting sections out of Okinawa, etc.

In a separate case this remake is so weird and the way they're handling it is also just wacky. I just wish the lighting from pirate yakuza was fixed 🥀

I hope they make up for it by doing a separate similar substory because I feel like this one in particular is really showing of kiryus character
