honestly that's my favorite type of festival: where you see 5 or 6 really great names, amidst a shitton of completely unknown stuff.

that indicates there's shit to discover. if you book this great act, i gives me faith that i know what you're doing booking those other acts i know jack shit about

i prefer an outdoor festival like beaches brew. it's free, it's BEACH, there's one or two familiar names per day that indicates the rest of the unknown names are also good. and before each music night there's MORE BEACH.

that constitutes as a perfect festi IMO, call me old fashioned.

that's what you get if the 1% monopolises the live music supply and demand... it creates a monocultural landscape without any jolt of excitement or risk.

festival lineup announcements are just drivel to me now. always the same damn predictable names, the same faces allowed a seat at the table. i'm tired of it.
