WAR CRIME BY THE US.
An unarmed Iranian ship was takIng part in an Indian naval exercise, alongside the US.
The US withdrew and torpedoed the Iranian ship.
THEN the US refused to rescue the sailors, letting them drown.
This is treachery, cowardice, cruelty and a war crime of the highest order.

How Reform's extended tantrum over losing the Gorton and Denton by-election reveals exactly why they are on course for an even bigger defeat at the next general election

The Prime Minister is asked about abolishing leasehold.
He answers on management companies and ground rents that makes it really clear Labour have no intention of abolishing leasehold.
5 million people stuck paying service charges because Labour stand with property developers.

STUDY: Despite conventional wisdom that increases in car fuel efficiency results in decreased gasoline consumption, Jevonsβ Paradox holds. For every 1 mile/gallon of increased fuel efficiency thereβs an associated 1.2 mile increase in vehicle miles travelled.
The better the car, the more we drive.
Damn
This government is more interested in showing racists how spiteful it can be, than either looking after people who need our help or coming up with workable policy.

Green GAIN from Labour.
Well, if the Gorton & Denton by-election was meant to be a litmus test for how the public thinks about the current government and its competition...
The Greens just fucking murdered them.
FUCK YES GREENS WON in Gorton & Denton god i am so fucking relieved
Even allowing for the low bar for pre-announcement filling, the BBC commentatorsβ coverage of the Denton & Gorton by-election is vapid, superficial, stereotyping and sycophantic to the far right.
now 04.00 GMT Labour candidate Angeliki Stogia has arrived at the count, escorted by Lucy Powell, the deputy leader of the party. They stood, along with other glum-looking Labour activists, arms folded, in one corner of the room, expecting to be defeated, PA Media is reporting. Masses of press stood at the other end of the room awaiting the arrival of the Green Party candidate, Hannah Spencer, and Reform UK's Matt Goodwin. The result of the election is expected in the next 30 minutes.

Just now from the Guardian's Gorton and Denton live feed:
And once again we see high levels on Tyneside and, to a lesser extent, Teesside.
Sunderland's reporting 23.08%; Gateshead zooming up alongside it.
8/8
Really critical and widespread lack of reporting across Yorkshire and Lancashire this week.
Doncaster's 6.67% might be replicated all along the M62 - those few areas that are reporting are reporting rises.
7/8
Still high levels in Worcestershire and Herefordshire, and both still rising.
There's an unhelpful lack of data from Warwickshire and Northamptonshire this week, making it hard to know if this has spread or not.
6/8
A mixed picture in the South-East: West Sussex's levels have increased further to 15.38%, but it doesn't seem (yet) to be more widespread.
5/8
England's hotspots haven't changed from last week, though some have died down.
Camden's the outlier in London on 31.58%, but there are rises in boroughs across the capital and to the north, through Hertfordshire to Bedfordshire.
4/8
Scotland first this week, as Shetland Islanders will have noticed their 16.2% positivity straight away.
It consists of 6 cases from 37 tests. Not huge, but enough to indicate local transmission.
2/8
[BlueSky seems to have recovered now - here's this week's thread]
The PCR positivity map is out, and positivity is up a bit in England to 4.08%, but down a bit in Scotland to 3.39%.

BlueSky seems to be having problems and I'm unable to post the PCR map thread today. It's also not showing me my own posts, so I'm unsure if you'll see this.
But the map is out with this week's data up to 3 days ago.

Suella Braverman MP has joined the Reform party, despite briefings from the party last summer to the Daily Mail, GB News and others that it would refuse her if she wanted to join.
In the least surprising political news of recent years.
What's going to be really fun is watching Reform argue that they are a "force for change" when they are stacked with the exact same people who lost the last election after being in power for 14 years.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Oh that's a shock about Suella Braverman defecting to Reform said nobody.
Covid is airborne and Labour does nothing to change the guidance to reflect this.
