Wonder if my assessment is actually fair and how I'd like the books if I read them again. I'm not a big Warhammer head, so also totally possible I missed a lot of nuance.

Been 15 years since I read these, so my judgement might be off. But I think I remember the author tip-toeing around some interesting moral/ethic questions while being a lot more comfortable describing combat scenes and politics.

Also, love the little music that is there. Not just the diegetic bits. I think it's a good soundtrack overall.

Not trying to denounce Red Wedding or Hardhome or the likes, but genuinely thinking the latest episode of KOTSK might be the best GOT has ever been.

Just caught up on Knight of the seven Kingdoms. First couple episodes had me convinced it's a good spinoff. Had no idea what it was gearing up to, though. Episode 4 + 5 are literal kino, was not expecting that.
