I'm slowly convincing myself that security will work only when accountability moves from IT to mission/operations. Make the mission owner accountable for security and require them to contract with IT for secure operations.

BlueSky does not provide the option for feedback as emphatically positive as this deserves. This used to be one of my questions when I was a hiring manager; if you couldn't tell me _what risk_ the password change mitigated, you moved to the bottom of the pile.
*Absolutely fair* - but their manager and their senior leadership have told them that is their job. Blame the system that holds people accountable for low FISMA scores, but ignores breaches and doesn't even attempt to measure mission impact. )
Because it is vital that we apply the exact same test to the system that provides high confidentiality low availability data as we do to the system that provides ultra high availability/integrity data to the public (low confidentiality.
)
While you are correct, don't blame the cybersecurity team. Blame the management hierarchy for whom metrics are more important than mission. Blame the middle manager who worships at the altar of "repeatable"
I think that is extraordinarily cool - This month I've had two opportunities to appreciate the Roses, opportunities that have reminded me that there are people who nourish and foster the dream. I wanted to offer a bit of appreciation and wordfame. #mysca #Kasf #roses
Yesterday I realized that while two gentles got chaplets, _every booth_ on the floor was visited by a team of knowledgeable peers, who observed intentionally and asked questions. Yes, the two gentles were Recognized, but every exhibitor was seen. And....

The Society for Creative Anachronism isn't perfect, but sometimes I get a glimpse of what the dream should be. I have always admired the Rose's chaplets at KASF because it is pure honor bestowed without completion. But ......

What do you think of Ty-phoo extra strong? I just finished a box of Yorkshire gold that promised to be strong. WIll Ty-Phoo provide the kick that Yorkshire didn't?
Thank you!
Could someone define or cite "REF"? I am unfamiliar with the term in this context.
Bonnie seems confused by long lines. Years of teaching her that the best place to walk is at my shoulder and now I'm dropping back behind her. You can kind of see the "Don't make up new rules" look.... #eqsky #mysca #scaEquestrian
Long lines on Bonnie for the first time today - neither of us have ever tried anything like this. Strange to try to give directions without leg aids. But then the light bulb went off - assuming we drive forward, the outside rein blocks and shapes the energy. #mysca #scaequestrian #eqsky
This seems like potentially a really significant paper. Good post.
Today's lesson - picking up the canter over a pole. After multiple failed tries, it worked. Coach dons serious coach face, asks, "What did you do differently that time" ME: "Got out of her way" Coach approves. Mare knows her job, just needs me not to get in the way. #eqsky. #mysca
Garrocha work yesterday. I fooled myself into thinking I was done with Garrocha, but it reveals imperfections in my riding. I managed to write my initials in the arena footing. I need to build myself a better Garrocha pole. #eqsky #equestrian

I am beginning to think that "Wall of text" is the way I train people not to ask me questions.....
The mare got yesterday off - some grooming and love and a bit of lunge but no riding. She may have turned a foot on Thursday. She and I are old enough that it is better to err on the conservative side and permit more rest. Monday however the weather will be good #equestrian #eqsky
Arrested for attempting; if she had succeeded things would have been different.....
One hopes in that order. If you bought the horse before you found the glasses you might find that your halter and saddle don't fit the large dog you just bought..... Good luck
Following on the prior thought. Of course today I couldn't do as well as I could at the end of the prior lesson. That is normal. I know it is possible now. #equestrian
Part of a coach's job is to tell you it is possible. Then to encourage you when you accidentally succeed. I'm grateful for a good riding instructor. #equestrian
Where do I get this tea? I'm craving it now and cannot return to my normal routine until my craving is satisfied.....
re-reading that I realized that I failed my tone check; I didn't mean to sound confrontational. I'm just frustrated - not with you but with the situation.
Perhaps you could comment on how well that worked for China? Where the test devolved into the ability to quote the masters? Do you really want control of political power to be restricted to those who can memorize and regurgitate cannon?
I've updated my work on Fiore's mounted plays. I'm beginning to regret some of the web design choices I've made. But I like the video

SCA Equestrians are doing some very cool research. Papers I will want to read

I consulted with my expert who reminded me that Pivo 2nd gen is markedly superior to 1st gen. It is worth your while to verify which one you're buying. I hope it works for you; I don't mean to sound like I'm throwing shade
Tried it in the indoor, tried in the outdoor. Can't predict when it will work. I've been advised to try more colorful tack. If it is warm enough this weekend I'll give it another try. I _want_ Pivo to be awesome....
