In the first year of dating my now-husband, I wrote him a letter in a notebook nearly every day for one year and then gave it to him on our anniversary. Looking back on it, seems intense. Flash forward to now, and my second book is dedicated to him. So beware if you’re dating a writer, I guess

Took the trash out to the dumpster, came back, was on my phone, took me a second too long to realize something was scrunching along my thumb. A maggot or one of those translucent caterpillars. Hopefully the latter.

I love my book collection. So much. But packing them up to move is overwhelming. There are so many. I have already filled 5 boxes, and there are more to go. Maybe this will motivate me to read more on my kindle, but I just love a physical book.

Word ate 200 pages of my book. Poof, gone. Tried all the troubleshooting etc. Thankfully I save my drafts in multiple places so it’s all good, but I am feeling like… If you use Scrivener for drafting, do you like it?

Late to the HEATED RIVALRY party because I’m late to watching everything, but I binged the series this week and I don’t know what to do with myself now. The chemistry. Wow. The cinematography! The soundtrack! It moved me. So happy it’s getting the love it deserves

Flat lay of my latest read on my kindle beside my iced matcha.

Getting to read Sarah Lariviere’s new book, LIVE FROM THE AFTERLIFE, early. Sequel to RIOT ACT. Her prose, her intenseness, is so good.

Still thinking about Jack White’s β€˜get obsessed’ speech at the White Stripes induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Every time I’m about to email an edited file of my book back to my editors I probably download the email attachment about… 7 times, before I’m confident it’s the right one. Maybe by my third book it will only be 4 times, hopefully

Told myself last night, after I put my daughter to bed, I could work on pass pages, draft this new book, start Heated Rivalry, and be in bed before midnight. One of those things did not happen

Visited my husband’s hometown. Wrote my stalker book by night. Almost at 30k words. I guess appearances are deceiving?

Just reached the β€˜we’re going to need a bigger boat’ moment in this manuscript (my third book!). Love whenever I’m reminded of JAWS

My next book got pushed a week, so now it publishes on October 6. Didn’t think October could get any better

I always think about JAWS: THE REVENGE this time of year. An underrated Christmas movie. The cold open is one of my all-time favorites.

My grandma grew up in a funeral home and my great grandpa was a mortician. He was such a kind man, and was around when I was a little kid. I only found out about the funeral home as an adult because it creeped out my dad too much to talk about.

Anyways I’m writing my mortician book now.

We were making some Christmas crafts together, but my 3 year old really likes drawing vampires. A girl after my own heart
