The UK is going backwards at an ever increasingly fast rate
Nobody should be listening to these crazies and especially not putting them on television
This statement is wrong. π½
Would you now like to explain why?
bsky.app/profile/ocka...
Yes, I think you are correct.
The groups representing 'big business' and other interested parties are the same outfits as affected the Tories.
Cameron faced falling party funds due to falling membership and took the money from interested parties instead.
Labour have continued the strategy.
The issue for Tories being critical of the Greens is they are unable to face up to their own contradictions & nonsense.
Bearing this in mind, which of the English political parties represents the One Nation values that caused you to join the Tories in the first place.
It isn't the Tories or Reform
I think it would be better if a proper Tory was running Labour.
They are so factional and tribal that it is impossible for them to fix anything, including their party, the state of UK politics, the 'cost of living crisis' or the economy.
Diagnosis: Too many contradictions and terminal irrelevance
Quite odd to watch this debate by Labour after being in the same debate within the Tories when our party was taken over by authoritarian extremists who ignored the rule of law and citizens rights.
What I don't understand is why Labour types haven't learnt any lessons from the Tories.
Why is this?
Nothing changes in Brexitland.
A third country still convinced it's part of the negotiaitons like a member state, with the German car-company cavalry still just about to ride over the hill.
[*shrug]
That UK government as a whole has not yet recovered from 2016 is simultaneously trite and still the most important explainer of UK politics - a toxic brew of dishonesty, insularity, secrecy, naivety, and boosterism that this government failed to tackle when it could in 2024.
Thank you
Good trade. π
There is no logic to it then and it is just nonsense π
"The silence was funnier, and thereβs no reason why itβs funnier, itβs just nonsense!"
Autistics are always questioning.
In this case I thought I was just missing the joke even though I find the clip funny. π
I think you are missing the point
LibDem attitude here displays an opinion that others (in this case all EU member states) need to change.
Instead of the UK changing.
The thing that needs changing is attitude towards migrants and the rule of law.
Therefore, zero progress is possible with LibDems
Bryant lies
You then report the lies without hesitation instead of explaining why it is nonsense.
I'll trade you.
Explain this video to me because it has bugged me for years and I will add funds to this.
bsky.app/profile/kate...
You are delusional and * must * stop lying to businesses and people.
We are stuck because Labour voters wanted this.
No single market or customs means just that.
If you had the slightest respect for people you would have supported FoM right back in 2018 and certainly now.
I have stated why in my comment.
Provided an explanation as to why and also provided a solution.
If they wished to do so then they would have to move away from the cherry picking example referenced and instead make a case for FoM.
Otherwise, same cherry picking as now and, dead end.
I find all of this very confusing because a load of legislation has gone through within the UK, in secret which I would have thought would make an SPS agreement impossible.
No
Not until they cut out this nonsense π½
Until then, no. Sorry.
bsky.app/profile/wera...
Actually, no
Depressingly, this isn't understood ten years after the referendum!
Because the LibDems haven't and don't make the case for FoM a LibDem government would be in the same mess as this Labour government and stuck with cherry picking.
The key is FoM, which 'batshit crazy' people support.
This isnβt a βseat at the tableβ.
That would be an article 49 application that this government have ruled out in both actions and deeds.
If you want a βseat at the tableβ then vote green.
This government is now half way through their first term and will achieve even less ( π§) in the second half because of general election preparation. π€ͺ
This is why we have to vote Green
Even my ex Conservative MP, employed by the dead Tory party will be voting green!
Targeting the water supply of a populous water-scarce country to trigger a refugee tsunami with a view to boosting the far right in Europe is exactly the kind of evil plan Stephen Miller might come up with, by the way.
This is Labour propaganda
Allowing artists to travel visa free with their instruments equiptment without "prohibitive bureaucracy" is NOT deliverable and NEVER will be due to UK govt red lines
The europeanmovement.co.uk group should be explaining this and not just copying Labour propaganda
The issue here is you are reporting on what catherinewestmp.bsky.social said without explaining why it is not deliverable.
Blindly reporting what people say, especially Labour MPs while not explaining why the UK is stuck in a non 'reset' is a failiure by you @europeanmovement.co.uk
Do your job!

Some of this is stuck in a pre 2016 world and some of it is stuck in a 1950s world!
Lesson 1:
It isn't a left vs right world anymore
Lesson 2:
NATO is already dead
Lesson 3:
The idea that 'the left' and 'the right' are a thing is dead.
Everything is mixed up now.
Green Reform undecideds is a *big* thing
This person voted Green:
"Emmeline Pankhurst died for my vote, not sure about all the p**** coming here but maybe itβs not their fault...
How could you open all the borders anyway, you donβt own the world?"

What a mess!
Huffpost headline: Rachel Reeves Launches Her Strongest Attack On Brexit Amid Gloomy Economic Numbers The chancellor vowed to "break down trade barriers" between the UK and EU. By Kevin Schofield
In the light of recent UKG prnouncements on getting close to Europe, useful to remind ourselves of what the *real* UK redlines are:
a) Maintain "nostalgic" trade deals with Oz & NZ
b) Keep the City of London outside of European law
c) No free movement of people (at least nothing called FoM)

Hasnβt Trump just created a new refuge crisis for Europe while radicalising a load of new people?
Is this the right takeaway from this current mess?
For example.....
"We're not an island of strangers
- we're an island of neighbours"
It is stunning how all of the groups mentioned by Ross, along with Ross herself don't get this.
