Is this from Gaius Baltar's memoir?
Ever since I was a little boy I dreamed of getting mad at video games
They got a quota to make.
Tell me about it! I can't even enjoy dystopian future TTRPG anymore because the bad stuff hits too close to home and the good stuff is just fantasy!
We were promised shiny and chrome but all we got was a face full of safety orange.
Another surprising one is Gauntlet. For some reason I used to think Nintendo only released first party titles (or at least titles with no full arcade version) on PC-10.
Just remember ALL CAPS when you spell IT'S MARIO TIME
There's a great EGM doc on YT you should see. It was a much smaller operation than I imagined and it seems one of the main requirements to write was "be a kid in Chicago that the guy who started the magazine happened to know"
Very exciting! I just hope the price is right.
*sighs* loads up the DVNO video again
Never give up.
Really shows how COVID didn't happen in the MCU
I just learnt that Contra for the MSX2 used the Konami 051649 SCC sound generator, meaning that we have extremely high quality covers of Contra (NES) songs that almost nobody knows about

Final Fantasy XXVII poster from Deus Ex, Human Revolution
According to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, we are getting 11 more Final Fantasy games this year
Maybe not as impressive as it first appears, since this game required add-on hardware that 49x the RAM on the 2600: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starpat...
Explains why it isn't playable on the Internet Archive.
Almost what I envisioned after finishing S02 of Chance: Kill off the main character near the end of each season, but have a suitably intriguing supporting character around to become the focus of the next season; sort of a neo-noir anthology format where each doomed protag introduces us to the next.
Did you know? SSX actually had a PC port, but it's only playable in The Sims 2, and also you can't play it, you have to watch your sim play it for you.
I found the Lemmino documentary much more compelling, memorable and rewatchable.
The more I think about this the more I think @valvesoftware.com should open their own DRAM fab and sell at reasonable prices in limited quantities to high rep Steam accounts. Might just be a drop in the ocean, but better than nothing (and would secure supply for the upcoming Steam hardware).
Oh it gets worse: That was actually the arcade Ghosts N Goblins and it was intentionally incorrect product placement to get people talking about this exact topic and increase the impact of the ad. Capcom still sells these games, you see.
Just based on this video: The C64 Ultimate has gone beyond all of my wildest expectations. Bravo, @commodoreofficial.bsky.social (but I still would like an official drop-in replacement for the original power brick)
Fury Road is intended as a direct sequel to Thunderdome. Part of the lore (in comics and plans for a cancelled game) is that Max painstakingly rebuilt his car between films only to have it destroyed again in the first 2 minutes of FR.
