She’s offended by two people smiling and having a good time and thinks they have more sexual chemistry than her and her new husband?
Oof. Guantanamo couldn’t torture that out of me.
@arghlita
Actually autistic, queer, disabled veteran, mother, wife. Proudly anti fascist, pro Black, pro Brown, pro Native, pro Disabled. Loves dogs and cats, games, own voices stories, speculative fiction, bad bitches and soft bois of all genders, art by human hand

Brand recognition for a physical product? Because Wikipedia is already having data corruption issues from the flood of well-poisoning AI “sources.”
Possibly yes, but also… hard sell to most doesn’t mean nobody wants it already? Surely it’s an issue of measuring demand and preference within that group to optimize for the small but significant potential market?
I understand the challenges but I think with the right group of human editors we could offer a compelling alternative to online sources for the discerning Luddite/prepper.
So who thinks it might be cool to resurrect encyclopedia Brittanica in hard copy as a subscription?
You get one volume per month until it’s complete then it cycles through again.
Cancel any time esp. between completion and the next cycle.
So, hmm. Did he read all the way to the end of those biographies?
Oooooof. Thanks.
What college? Just curious.
Ruin? Or improve?
The real narco-terrorists
The president should be the one who declares war and congress just decides whether it gets funded?
No, says right here…
Okay fine then the president can’t declare war he can just order the military to do acts of war, anywhere and any time.
Lying. It’s called lying. At a certain point, contempt for the truth and ignorance of the truth overlap so far that it’s a meaningless distinction.
Also barriers to entry is a delightful double entendre addressing the whole issue of incels.
Yeah you need a minimum level of competency to operate a whole train. These people are so anxious over barriers to *their* entry that they want to shitcan the idea of being trained to do anything.
My cousin tried to compare the two favorably, saying that of course the building of the infrastructure is messy but when it’s done! We will have railroads/AI.
Me: so both involve coerced labor, destruction of the environment, and a reckless disregard for the long term costs? So we agree it’s bad?
The quoted text “error” appears to refer to something a character says out loud. Is he suggesting that humans make grammatical errors in writing but not in speaking? Or is he admitting that never once in his human life has poetry made him cry?
Truly a meritocracy we have here.
I’m so tired this morning that I’ve had to find something to enrage me out of bed.
Bing bing bing
We have a winner. He doesn’t remember any details because he never bothered with them in the first place.
By confusing a strategic opponent, I can force them to play tactically and make mistakes they wouldn’t otherwise make. I can respond quickly and with certainty because I *know* I’m flying by the seat of my pants but they don’t.
So anyway, this post is about how many new conflicts we’ve started.
I’m bad at chess. Not terrible, but certainly not good. So I came up with a strategy* long ago of playing black, copying white’s moves, and then doing some random shit that confuses anyone who actually knows what they are doing. I do this because I suck at long-term strategy but excel at tactics.
I told them as long as there were pop quizzes there would be prayer in schools (Carlin bit? Not sure) and that I didn’t need my right to pray protected from the school when the only folks oppressing me were other students. And that every day, I prayed for patience when they began tormenting me.
These same kids told me my mother wasn’t a priest (yes, 3 years and the student loan debt says otherwise) and that I wasn’t really Christian because I didn’t have the exact same bible literalism they had forced on them. And then asked me why I didn’t “rally ‘round the flag” with them.
I’ve never stopped loving Christ. He’s an autistic icon! But I’m divorced from the church.
Being bullied relentlessly by other 6th graders who saw no conflict between telling me I should end my life and their professed Christian faith. Some of them wore delicate chains with crosses every day, and I wondered how God could allow people to be so vile with zero self reflection.
I left out the continuing education courses I buy as a substitute for actually learning, and also the 5% Ground News summaries
My information consumption is now 1/4 Bluesky, 1/4 FB Messenger, 1/4 smut on Kindle Unlimited, and 1/4 media on streaming released months ago that I’ve had enough spoilers to decide in advance if I will like them.
The opportunity cost of anything else is far too high, and rising daily.
Love this, doing my own take
You are more generous than I am. My first thought it they want photos of kids so they can scout their targets easily.
If I’m not generating the ideas, what are people paying me for? The labor? The shitty, menial part? Why would I want that?
