Mechanically it’s fun, but gets real crunchy. I like the winter vs summer phases, and the manor management is something I would port over to other games in the future.

We’ve taken it pretty lightly, it’s a nice change of pace from other RPGs because each year has set events. We’ve taken tangents into the Forest Sauvage, to Europe to fight Grendel with Beowulf, and just finally getting to the boy king era.

Have had this happen in Pendragon, and had a crazy rare pull in HMTW a few weeks back that led to catastrophe.

It ranges from monthly to more, depending on what is going on and if there is an urge to buy. It’s nice to have people remember you in the smaller stores.
I live near the largest (tm) game store in the country and it might as well be a Barnes and Noble level of disconnect.

Very soon we will end this game, but I may keep the tarot deck handy and use it for when people want to push fate. We have had some wild and crazy pulls that have ended in catastrophic failure.

This climaxed with the dwarf, i.e. the tallest character in this group, pole vaulting up on top of a carousel to seek out a golden chimera idol. Scared to try and break it off, they set it on fire and used it to light their camp phase.

Last nights His Majesty the Wyrm kept up its psychedelic plunge, with the guild jamming unknown mushrooms in their mouths, having a tea party with myconoids, and seeking deeper connection to the Un-unicorn dungeon lord

There is a big time difference in the demographics. I bet if surveyed, a lot of these leanings are bc of economic considerations and the wealth of said athletes more than anything.

For sure. I love armor as DR, but I don’t want to slow the processing down when I have four enemy types etc. but I recognize this could also just be being overly critical.
