the NHL average coaching tenure was down to 2.51 years across 32 teams *before* Cronin, Laviolette, and now Bylsma were fired. Now it's down to 2.38, which is even further below the other three major professional men's leagues.
As requested, the average tenure for NHL general managers is 4.74 years. The Ron Francis news brings that to 4.56 years.
Quite a bit of turnover in recent seasons, and in a lot of instances the former GM was not dismissed but moved up to president (that was the case for COL, WSH, VGK etc).
So instead of showing the Capitals/CBJ game, Sportsnet is showing the Lightning vs Sabres game. 13 more years of this.
