it's a really well-made comic, imo, but the tone of it — this lore is DARK and DIFFERENT (but not really that different) — almost feels like a parody (to me; it's working for a lot of folks, and that's fine). Absolute Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter are worth checking out, though.

it's amazing how quickly "can I pause this?" becomes the deciding factor as soon as you have a kid
been craving some real tv-ass tv lately. we're talking 22 episode seasons. we're talking four or five act breaks per installment. we're talking one problem a week, all "filler" episodes, if there is an arc it only surfaces during sweeps week or season finales and it never pays off.
