A hand holding a carefully rolled bark and yarn weaving
A colorful wall of children's weaving with the data weaving above
Close up of the data weaving with three children's weaving below
Today I brought the second graders their finished data weaving, with the words of their class pledge laser cut on bark, and yarn representing which parts of the pledge kids said they did well when we collected data for a week in November. Now on the wall with the kids' own weaving projects! #DHmakes

A 1970's era Monopoly set, showing the board and the open box, showing all tokens, houses, and hotels in their original, unopened plastic bags. The currency and cards have their original rubber bands.
I bought this Monopoly set in the mid 1970s and have been lugging it around ever since. Somehow, I've never convinced my friends that spending a weekend on a board game would be fun. Never opened!

This is in fact Spinster's Rock, a Neolithic dolmen on the north east edge of Dartmoor.
Stressful day yesterday. One of the smaller, shyer parts of Stonehenge drank too much and got βlostβ. We finally found it, looking rather disorientated in this random field 100+ miles away. Now finally been loaded into van ready to be transported home. Everyone tired and emotional but v relieved.

We stopped at a lay-by on the mountains today and one of the mountain sheep came and visited us. Dad was feeding him with chocolate so if you get a chocolate tasting lamb chop, you'll know why.

I too saw it in the cinema and it was pretty intense

Sad to hear Michael Hague has died! π―οΈ
His edition of Wind in the Willows was my definitive childhood version, and I pored over his large pictures for hours, especially the trees, Badgerβs House and Toad Hall. His Piper at the Gates of Dawn is exquisite π

A Michael Hague illustration of two tan sea monsters standing in the surf, looking adoringly at one another. One monster holds a red heart shaped box and offers the other monster a slightly wilted bunch of daisies. In the distance their tails are entwined in a heart shape.
I bought this Valentines card of his back in the β80s and had it on display just last month

Iβd like Disfarmerβs photographs to be better known, so Iβm not sure what to make of this. If he hadnβt explicitly separated himself from his family I think Iβd feel more sympathy for the descendants

Yesterday I filmed several baby birds walking across a street directly at my camera and asked Bluesky to suggest music
Several dozen folks did
Some even dubbed music over the original clip.
I haven't been able to get this out of my head.

A difficult time of day/evening for the camera looking into the fading sunlight but the Spec Ops HP5 Ultra did great. You can see the detail in 1440p video, but had to be 720p to share. You just know what it would feel like to touch the texture on the antler, but we all know, NO touchy the wildlife
