When youβre so deep into dehumanising refugees you convince yourself there must be a nefarious reason they take care of their children rather than yknow, love
LPT: Streamline your kitchen routine with this top-selling Amazon essential
Streamline your kitchen routine. Hack your bedtime procedures. Annihilate your bathroom program
Nick Clegg: Artists' demands over copyright are unworkable The former Meta executive claims that a law requiring tech companies to ask permission to train Al on copyrighted work would 'kill' the industry
βI agree with Nick.β
Kill the industry, you say? That sounds tough for that industry. Which industry was that again?
Oh. The stealing industry? Maybe killing that industry wouldnβt be such a bad thing? Considering itβs kind of a bad industry. Unlike the other one, which itβs currently killing.
The Labour Party used to be the political arm of the trade union movement. Now it's the political arm of property development, arms dealers and fossil fuel peddlers.
every other social need however obvious, pressing, and dearly important to voters is subordinate to the bigger project: endless cynical racism
Stenciled graffiti in orange/red that reads: Unskilled jobs are a classist myth used by the rich to justify poverty wages
Don't go make me tap the sign yet again...
Bathroom graffiti: "Work Really Hard And One Day This Can Be You:" [A gravestone, reading: "RIP, worked really hard."]

Don't @ me, pedants.
To shut down or unjustifiably curtail efforts to raise the alarm about a genocide is effectively to collude with that genocide (morally if not legally speaking).
This is particularly true in states like the US, UK and Germany: key external facilitators of the genocide.
gives me a headache that zuckerberg can do the most vile shit, say in an interview he fucking loves it, and people are like, "he's letting himself be bullied by trump". no! he's doing this cause he feels trump gives him an excuse to, not to "surrender" to him. grow up! trump is them, they are trump!
The thing that the oligarchs fundamentally misunderstand is that civil society and social safety nets were the compromise of the social contract. Dismantling civil society, rolling back civil rights, looting public resources, and exacerbating unimaginable wealth inequality fundamentally breaks it.
kinda wild how if youre not ultra wealthy and want to hang on to a room full of shit someone left you youre a hoarder and there are whole TV shows about what a freak you are but if you want to hoard the GDP of 3/4th of the planet that's just supposed to be normal
Labour ministers repeatedly say that national security is their first duty as a government. Well the incoming neo-fascist Trump administration is plainly a threat to our national security, from its climate wrecking policies to Musk's far right incitement. Yet all we see from Labour is appeasement.
Bullied myself into going out for a brisker than average walk as I have been strolling a bit this week. Then decided I should run 5k because I should do that more often. So I went out and ran 10k.
16th December.
Made a sauce from plum tomatoes that were outside on plants until mid October and, harvested, have ripened on a window sill in November and December.
Not sure that, climate wise, this is a good thing.
But it was a nice sauce.
SIMPLY HAVING A
"That can't have done the office laminator much good"
"No, he ended up in hospital and filed a complaint for workplace harassment"
Getting a new phone for the first time in 6 years and it's making me feel a) extremely maudlin b) ludicrously anxious.
Was hoping to get out early and do half my intended walking and calorie burning before the storm blew in but managed to stay out for 2 hours because the forecast was off. Worse weather seems to be arriving now but I'm 1000 calories up so it might be an old style TV Saturday from hereon in.
My eldest once drew this beautiful Christmas fairy. I've never been able to forget it. It's so lovely and festive that I thought I should share it and hopefully you'll never be able to forget it either.
it's soup time @InternetHippo Asking "Are rich people too rich?" is class warfare and wrong. But asking "Are poor people too rich?" is wise Economics and Thought Leadership

"Hi I'm Johnny Safari, the Britpop politics guy and I'm here to tell my readers that, like you, I want a progressive programme rooted in social democracy but I don't want it from raggedy jam populists, I want it from slick twats in suits who idolise The Democrats and are viscerally opposed to it"
It would help if those who are clearly now embarrassed by the politics they've spent decades championing could admit that they've abused the term 'populism' to a point where it isn't even clear if they know what it means.
6 papier mache Frank Sidebottom Christmas baubles in a box.
Itβs that time again.
so much of leftist politics is at heart just a call to examine the assumptions about how anything works (or doesn't work), and the resounding response from liberals is "Well chief, son, missy, that's not how things work!"
Hope is no use to him. Neither is a squeaky clean record, if he has one. He's a dead man walking because he works with assassins.
