In last night's game of Tichu I did something I've never done before and might never do again: I had a straight flush and used it as part of a larger straight flush instead of as a Bomb. It seems like a rare occurrence.

A couple of nights ago I was introduced to Manoeuvre, from GMT Games. It's a pretty solid 2-player light wargame, with a fairly simple ruleset. I enjoyed it and I'd play it again, though I'm not sure I like it over the Commands and Colors games.

Hey board gamers - your feelings an opinions about games are being turned into slop.

There's a channel called Board Game Critique. All their videos are clearly made with AI. They fess up to this, but they claim that they write their own scripts.

I cannot definitively prove that they don't, but 1/x

I have four chambers of my heart that just swish blood. There's a fifth chamber, mostly dry, where I store canned goods. Behind that is a sixth chamber, lined with all the books I plan to read. There is a secret door there, leading to a seventh chamber, called The Cat's Lounge (it has no cats.)

I was very happy to have the opportunity to run a couple of games of Blood on the Clocktower for friends this past weekend. Being the BotC Storyteller is hard work, and it's not something that comes naturally to me, but it's fun and rewarding!

If you use AI to design a board game, or do the artwork for your board game, I will never buy it, never play it, never review it, and I will side-eye your company for all future projects.

If you brag about doing it, you're a weapons grade douche bag, that doesn't deserve a place in our industry.
