She’s also got cataracts in both eyes (one is a tiny pin point cataract) but she can still see shadows in the eye with a huge cataract!

Deus, a 38 year old Blue Fronted Amazon

Yesterday we found out Deus had an old fracture in her leg from before we had her that never healed properly and causes her a lot of pain. She also might need a toe amputation- we have to do a round of meds then go back for more radiographs. She is taking her meds like a champ.

her previous owner(s) weren’t able to give deus the care she needed so this is probably the first time she’s been to the vet. She can’t fly as she never really used her wings before, and she may have liver issues due to her previously all seed diet

My 38 year old blue fronted amazon princess Deus went to the vet today! She was so brave and let people pet her. She’s going in tomorrow for radiographs and bloodwork
