Hi! Lots of lovely people on here.
What an amazing night at #peaceproms25 - my school choir were blown away by the dancers. Highland dancing and bagpipes to Game of Thrones theme was incredible. And so was Into the Unknown. Pure genius.
Merci beaucoup! #edchatie

Although between CPD courses and prep for the term ahead, the holidays are being eroded at both ends.
I'm still teaching after 25 odd years because of the children, the staff I work with, the chance to learn something or surprising every day, the fun stuff like school tours and Peace Proms and teaching them a bit of Spanish and yes, because of the holidays.

Kind of a vicious circle I think too - hard to get people to go to an INTO meeting because they're angry at the union, but if they don't engage then the union doesn't hear their views and everything becomes more entrenched.

A suggestion: a revival of the #edchatie one hour discussion, once every fortnight, on matters of interest in Irish education. New proposer and host every time.
