As Trump Dismantles Voice of America, Some Broadcasts Are Replaced With Music President Trump’s executive order on Friday calling for the dismantling of the federal agency that oversees the broadcaster is part of a wider campaign to weaken the news media.

This will create a critical vacuum in the media scene in many countries, particularly the Balkans, where people have come to rely on fair and objective reporting on internal affairs from VOA.
