3. offered to help me or even brought me a meal so I don't have to stand and cook? We have no restaurants where I live from which to order food. I can manage, but it would be nice if some could look beyond their own mirrors. End of rant.

2. I am still doing what I am able to help people, and there are still people calling for me to help them knowing I am injured. Some things are physically impossible for me to help with at the moment. Do you think that any of those people have ...3
Rant. Read it or don't. I believe to my very core that we are supposed to help each other. We can't help everyone, it's true, but we do what we are able, and I am generally the first person in line to offer my services. Last week I got injured. ...2
This has been a particularly tough winter this year. Sooo much snow and prolonged windchills in the -30s and -40s ยฐC. March is typically our snowiest month, but Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb has seen more snow than ever. My Canadian fortitude is waning, and I am so done with this. ๐ฅน
Thank you for clarifying, but Earthbound Farms is a US company. Right under that Canadian "logo," it says "imported." These things are sometimes misleading. Further down, it says Salinas, California. It is very confusing for all of us trying to decipher labeling to be able to buy Canadian.
Where is the Canadian alternative....am I missing something?
I am a 5'1" woman with, according to their (doctor) measurements, have 36% muscle mass. Late 50s. The Dr asked me to reduce my muscle mass so that my BMI would fall 1 point to WNL. My clothing size is single digit. ๐คฏ. BMI parameters don't work for everyone. Needs to go!
What an insanely brutal winter this has been so far. -20s. Has snowed every single day. My fence is 5 ft high, and my dog can walk over it. 80 km/hr winds on a regular basis. No sun. This Canadian can't take much more, and it is only January.
The last 10 weeks have been the coldest, windiest, cloudiest, and most early winter weather I have experienced in the last 40 years. I shoveled every day in November, and almost every day in December. I live in one of the sunniest places in Canada, yet it has been cloudy for weeks. I need sunshine!
Blue sky with clouds over a field of snow.
Oh my! Is that blue sky, I see?
The problem is everywhere you go. People's homes, the grocery stores, busses, subways...everywhere...the heat is blasting. I almost never wear a winter coat anymore. Never ever in a shop. Short sleeves only in winter.
I find that a bit strange. If there's work to be done, you do it! He will often load the dishwasher or bring clothes off the line on his way by, but he hardly ever takes down time...maybe one day to rest after he's traveled and gotten home at 3 am..goes to trim that branch. It is different here.
I know a few. Where I live, there are very traditional households. They think I am crazy. One person asked the other day, as she drove into my yard, "Who does your snow removal while he is away?" I looked at her questioningly and said, "I got on the tractor and did it myself." "Really?"she asked. ๐คฃ
2. laundry, dishes, food shopping, is the easy part for me comparatively./end
He works hard. Away on assignment a lot. If he needs that time to decompress and go find a branch to trim, he gets that time. We don't live a typical lifestyle. I do all the heavy stuff (or manly stuff as soome would call it) when he's away. He does it when he's home. The rest..1/2
My husband sent me this. He said, "It is very fitting."
The list of things I have to do keeps me from napping during the day. I had a five hour nap last night. I don't call that sleeping. It was enough to get me through today. The day isn't done yet.
I make a plan for the week, and my husband eats what I put in front of him. I like to cook so I do the majority of the cooking... except for breakfast. We fend for ourselves. He will sometimes tell me what he would like to include, like fish, Mexican, Indian, or Japanese, but for the most part, no.
I am so done with shoveling snow, and it isn't even winter yet. Sigh.
In the article, it states that they all went to Service Canada. I guess they'll all have to stand in line to pick them up.
A Canada Post employee, with whom I am friends, says this article is misleading. During the strike, they have every right to lay off all TEMP employees. That could amount to the 'hundreds' mentioned in the article.
If I am a Telus customer, and my bill is paid up to date, is it reasonable to block them because they are calling 3X a day?
I moved the icon off of my homescreen and replaced that spot with the Bluesky one because I would open X out of reflex.
Grey and white cat sitting at the kitchen counter in a chair with a yellow-eyed, mad stare. He is waiting to be fed my tuna that he isn't allowed to have.
I was making tuna melts. Turned to see this guy sitting at the kitchen island waiting for his share. He isn't allowed to have it, but I think the person who relinquished him to the vet before I adopted him used to feed it to him. He will come from a different floor to ask for some.

What changed EVERYTHING for me and prompted me to try to understand ~30 years ago was family members who came out as gay, and now, in the youngest generation, transistioning. These are people I love. Love and acceptance is everything for EVERYBODY. It is non-negotiable.
It is one of the reasons I've mostly left Twitter. It is exhausting, blocking them all. I just want to enjoy some posts of people's pets, gardens, odd joke, recipes, hobbies, and their latest cool purchases.
I have one of those, too. Makes a good feeding spot for grizzlies if they haven't entered torpor yet around here.
This is when I take the opportunity to clean out and rearrange my indoor freezer (after the bears go to sleep).
My cat just tried to kill me. I was carrying something heavy and could not see the floor in front of me. He decided that it was time to feed him at that very moment and wrapped himself in my legs. I am still alive, but I hurt my back. My perfect form for heavy carrying was ruined. Cat is still alive
