That's some great pooling and sharing there from Liebor, they're treating Scotland as if we don't put a fair share into the pot already.

And can they point to which services Scotgov should cut to find that 10 million from our fixed budget that WM sees fit to give us.

Of course what he's not telling you is that it'll be spent on things neither scotgov or Scottish people want....like nuclear power stations that we don't need but England do.
Labour canny be trusted and will never give anything to Scotland that doesn't benefit them in some way.

Because they're constantly telling us we're too wee and too poor to be independent, canny possibly let us know that Scotland would be much richer and much more progressive if we were independent.

The World Cup should not be played in USA as it's not appropriate & for everyone else's life and safety it's not advisable to go there.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Constituency Vote? List Vote? How to maximise indy MSPs.
The voting system used in Scottish general elections was explicitly set up by the Labour UK government in 1998 to prevent an SP majority in the Scottish Parliament. It is split into two votes..
• a Constituency vote similar to Westminster's 'First Past The Post' (FPTP) system (deciding 73 Holyrood seats).
• and a Regional, or List vote, which uses the "Additional Member System' to select extra MSPs from a party list (deciding 56 Holyrood seats). A party may stand for list seats only if it wishes.

However, due to their constituency vote success, the SP's 956,000 list votes were 'devalued' by the system and won them only 4 additional list MSPs, whilst the Conservatives' and Labour's combined list votes - only 4,000 more votes - got them 45 additional list MSPs.

The system is designed to ensure that the more constituency seats a party wins, the more their list votes are 'devalued' and the harder it becomes for it to win list seats.
By contrast, the value of list votes for parties that win fewer constituency seats is increased.

It's *vital* for Scotland's wellbeing that as many voters know about this as possible. I don't have Facebook, Instagram or X accounts. If you do, please share these on those platforms and anywhere else you think they need to be seen. Thanks 👍 #Scotland #Holyrood26 #SNP1SGP2

I'm just perplexed with why people are so bothered about what's on bank notes or not instead of noticing how little those bank notes can actually buy you nowadays, smoke & mirrors to distract from the fact we're all being robbed blind.

‘Failures’ kinda implies they were trying. They aren’t, not for Scotland. They have betrayed everyone in Scotland for the cash & freebies & gongs of Westminster. “Scottish” Labour MPs serve somebody but not Scotland.

UK 'heads in sand over independence may mean Brexit-style chaos', top Green warns THE Westminster government and media have their heads “so firmly in the sand” about the pro-independence political atmospheres in Scotland,…

Absolutely this.

England is heading for more damaging political instability because they can’t imagine a future where Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are no longer part of their little club.

This will have profound implications for national security, the food supply and energy but…

All our own decisions without WM overriding them, get to keep all revenues from the 7 billion whisky industry instead of it going to WM, always get the govt we Scots vote for instead of being what our much larger neighbour votes for and getting rid of nukes to name only a few.

A good few times I've seen the old 🌰 of how Scottish independence would end up like Brexshit, for 1 thing we don't have any of the benefits that we had in the EU with the UK, so what exactly would we lose if we left the UK, I know what we'd gain, full control of our vast resources, rejoin EU, make/

Starmer's power grab is news on BBC Wales but surprisingly not anywhere on BBC Scotland.
Meanwhile, ferries...
Tell me again that BBC Scotland news is not a politically biased propaganda outlet.

The best people to make decisions for Scotland are the people who live here, not politicians in London.

But Labour continue to show that they're only too happy to use Tory legislation to bypass and undermine Scottish democracy.

THE 'INDY WILL BE AS HARD AS BREXIT' MYTH DEBUNKED
Opponents of Scotish independence often use a daft argument against it. The argument goes that Brexit was so chaotic and badly managed by Westminster that it proves how hard it is to leave a union, and therefore Scottish independence will be even worse because Scotland is weak and England a bully.
Leaving the EU proved to be extremely difficult for the UK.
Here we are 8+ years after the Brexit vote and it is still damaging Uk trade and politics, even as there is a growing awareness that the isolation from the EU has been a disaster.
But unlike Brexit, independence is NOT a political novelty.
There are dozens of countries all around the globe which have declared independence from the UK, many of them much smaller than Scotland. Indeed three of them are currently EU members - Ireland, Cyprus and Malta. There is a tried and tested path to independence from the UK, and many, many other countries have trodden it before us.
In fact, the very EU state which created the biggest stumbling blocks and reality checks for the Brexit fantasists is the Republic of Ireland, a 4.7m population country which itself declared independence from the UK in 1922.
Breaking up is only hard to do when you have no idea what you want, when you have unrealistic expectations and beliefs about yourself, and when you have traditionally relied upon threats and bullying instead of negotiating like a grown-up.
In the negotiations after Scottish independence it will be the Scottish delegation which knows what it wants, which has a realistic set of expectations, which has a plan, which has many friends and allies in Europe, and which will be the grown-up in the room.
Brexit was an attempt to establish and assert British exceptionalism. Scottish independence is the determination to establish and assert Scottish normalcy.
Scottish independence means making Scotland into a normal, independent European state, just like all the others.

Reaching net zero by 2050 ‘cheaper for UK than one fossil fuel crisis’ Climate change committee finds move to renewable energy would also bring health, economic and security benefits

Our dependency on fossil fuels makes us vulnerable. Wars across the world are pushing up prices for households in the UK.

Why keep waiting for the next crisis? We need to transition to clean power as fast as we can to protect people and our economy.
